Objectives:

The main areas of interest of the Student Scientific Club of Penitentiary Studies ”Ex Lege" at of the Faculty of Educational Studies UAM are penitentiary issues, deviant phenomena in correctional institutions, prisons and detention centres and ways of influencing juveniles and people serving prison sentences. The members of "Ex Lege" deal in theory and practice with penitentiary and post-penitentiary issues.

The aim of the Research Group is to broaden theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of re-socialisation and penitentiary pedagogy as well as penitentiary psychology. Our intention is to enable students to participate in conferences on penitentiary and re-socialisation issues, to conduct scientific research and publish articles.
