Cooperation

The intensive cooperation of the Faculty of Educational Studies with the community is one of the most important characteristics of the Faculty. Both Faculty staff, PhD candidates and students are involved in the implementation of the mission of the University within the third sector and public institutions.

Both the representatives of the Faculty and of the community build their social capital, deriving measurable benefits from their contacts and cooperation.Thanks to the social commitment of the Faculty staff, knowledge and experience are transferred to social practice. The Faculty also gains inspiration to undertake specific research topics, develop educational paths, improve its quality in order to equip graduates with competences desired on the market, and also has the opportunity to implement innovative solutions that work well in various areas of social life.

Public and third sector institutions gain staff support in the form of graduates of specific fields of study, or students - volunteers, as well as a series of impulses, theoretical reflections or examples of effective solutions to problems in the area of ​​culture, education, care, social support, social rehabilitation. Considering the specificity of the research activities undertaken by the Faculty, as well as the multifaceted educational activity in the field of pedagogy, special pedagogy, as well as in early childhood and pre-school education, cooperation with educational institutions is of particular importance. The cooperating institutions include schools, kindergartens, institutions dealing with students with special educational needs, caring, aid, counseling, social rehabilitation, as well as governmental, local government and public benefit organizations. The department's relations with third sector organizations or with broadly understood civil society constitute the essence of its contacts with the community, not limited to economic sphere, but going beyond the business model of cooperation.
